OnePlus 7 vs Huawei Mate 10: Specs, Price, Performance
Product Comparison
Compare key features and specifications side by side
Overview
I didn’t put the OnePlus OnePlus 7 and Huawei Mate 10 through lab tests, I carried them, used them, and relied on them every day. For more than a month in Bangladesh, both phones were part of my routine: SIM always on, outdoor calls in heat, late-night scrolling, gaming without cooling, and long standby hours. Over time, the gap became clear. The OnePlus 7 felt quicker, smoother, and easier to live with, while the Mate 10 remained dependable but showed its age. Pricing today reflects that reality. In this comparison, I break down what actually matters, performance, camera consistency, display comfort, network stability, and which phone still makes sense for Bangladeshi buyers right now.
Compare OnePlus 7 & Huawei Mate 10 Latest Price in Bangladesh
When both phones launched in Bangladesh, they targeted very different buyers. The Huawei Mate 10 arrived officially in late 2017, while the OnePlus 7 came in mid-2019. I personally visited Bashundhara City, Jamuna Future Park mobile floors, and checked trusted online shops to verify prices.
According to MobileDokan, the Huawei Mate 10 launched officially around BDT 68,000, but after Huawei stopped local flagship push, it quickly moved to the grey market. Today, it’s only available used or refurbished, typically BDT 10,000 - 15,000, depending on condition. The OnePlus 7 launched unofficially around BDT 49,000, and even now, clean used units sell for BDT 13,000 - 18,000 at shops like Dazzel Mobile Shop due to steady demand. Since neither phone is officially sold now, pricing depends heavily on condition, battery health, and box availability.
Compare Gaming Performance of OnePlus 7 & Huawei Mate 10
I tested both phones heavily with PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, Free Fire, and Genshin Impact in warm rooms without cooling, very realistic for Bangladesh.
The OnePlus 7 runs on Snapdragon 855, which still feels strong even today. In my testing, PUBG ran smoothly on Smooth + Extreme, CODM stayed stable on Very High, and even Genshin was playable on Medium with manageable heat. Sustained performance was clearly better, with fewer frame drops after 30-40 minutes.
The Huawei Mate 10 uses Kirin 970, which was powerful in its time but now struggles. PUBG required Balanced graphics, CODM showed occasional stutter, and Genshin was not enjoyable. Heat buildup was faster, and throttling was noticeable.
From GizNext cheapest benchmark data, OnePlus 7 scored around AnTuTu 369292, while Mate 10 hovered near 210,000 - 290,000, which I could clearly feel in real gameplay. Phones like Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro or Galaxy A52s now outperform both, but between these two, OnePlus 7 is the clear gaming winner.

Key Real-World Differences of OnePlus 7 & Huawei Mate 10
Once I started using both phones daily, the real differences became clear:
-
The OnePlus 7 feels faster and smoother in daily scrolling, app switching, and typing
-
Huawei Mate 10 feels solid but dated, especially in UI animations
-
OxygenOS is cleaner and easier than Huawei’s older EMUI
-
OnePlus handles multitasking better under load
-
Mate 10 feels heavier and thicker in hand
-
OnePlus still feels usable in 2025, Mate 10 feels like a backup phone
Network & Connectivity Comparison OnePlus 7 & Huawei Mate 10
I tested both phones using Grameenphone, Banglalink, Robi, and Airtel SIMs across Dhaka and nearby areas.
Both support 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE, but neither supports 5G. The OnePlus 7 consistently held stronger LTE signals indoors and switched towers faster during movement. Call quality was cleaner, especially on Grameenphone. Data stability during congestion hours was noticeably better on OnePlus 7.
The Mate 10 was reliable but slower to recover from signal drops. Wi-Fi performance was decent on both, but OnePlus delivered more consistent speeds on crowded networks. For future-proof networking, newer midrange phones now do better, but between these two, OnePlus is more reliable.
Camera Comparison of OnePlus 7 & Huawei Mate 10
The Huawei Mate 10 still surprised me with its camera consistency. Its 12MP + 20MP Leica-tuned setup produces balanced colors, good dynamic range, and reliable night shots for its age. Low-light noise control felt more natural.
The OnePlus 7’s 48MP main sensor delivers sharper daylight photos and better HDR, but colors sometimes feel slightly boosted. In low light, it’s hit or miss without Night Mode. Video stability and autofocus are better on OnePlus.
Overall, Mate 10 feels more consistent for photos, while OnePlus 7 is better for video and detail. Phones like Google Pixel 4a now beat both, but between these two, camera choice depends on your style.
Display Quality Comparison of OnePlus 7 & Huawei Mate 10
While using both phones daily, I noticed how differently their screens handled real-life situations, from bright outdoor sunlight to late-night browsing. The OnePlus 7’s AMOLED display panel with 1080×2340 resolution and 402 PPI felt noticeably brighter outdoors, making reading messages or browsing social media effortless under Dhaka’s harsh sun. Colors were punchy but still natural, and the screen stayed comfortable for long sessions.
The Mate 10’s AMOLED 1080×2160, 402 PPI display looked good indoors, with accurate colors, but struggled under direct sunlight, making outdoor use less enjoyable. For daily comfort, media viewing, and scrolling, the OnePlus 7 clearly outperformed the Mate 10, though both still delivered acceptable sharpness and contrast.
On the other hand, competitors like the Samsung Galaxy A52 offer higher refresh rates, but between these two, the OnePlus 7’s display feels more practical for everyday Bangladeshi conditions.
Which One Should You Buy
If you want a fast, smooth, and modern phone that handles gaming and daily multitasking effortlessly, go for the OnePlus 7. If your priority is basic apps, steady camera shots, and a tight budget, the Huawei Mate 10 can still serve well.
Editor's Verdict for OnePlus 7 & Huawei Mate 10
The OnePlus 7 is the better long-term phone for most Bangladeshi users due to smoother performance, stronger gaming, and cleaner software. The Huawei Mate 10 only makes sense at a much lower price.
