OnePlus 15 early launch leak reveals powerful Snapdragon chip

OnePlus 15 launch date just leaked and it might arrive sooner than expected

In late September, OnePlus teased its next phone, the OnePlus 15, at a Qualcomm event, confirming that the new handset will be among the first to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Additionally, OnePlus announced that its flagship device will get a global launch.

However, neither the Chinese launch date nor the global window was released. It's widely believed that the OnePlus could debut in China on October 27.

Thanks to a new leak from the Indian version of 91Mobiles (spotted by Pocket-lint), the global version could launch in just two weeks, on November 13. That's months earlier than usual.

Typically, OnePlus likes to launch its flagship phone in China in October. The global release usually doesn't come until January of the following year. For example, last year's OnePlus 13 initially released on Halloween, while the US version wasn't available until January 7 of this year.

Intriguing specs

The Snapdragon 8 Elite already powers some of the best Android phones, but this new Qualcomm chip is packing some serious performance. The OnePlus 15 could even beat the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max, giving strong competition to next year's Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Outside of the powerful chipset, the OnePlus 15 is coming in black and a new color called "sand storm." It also features a square camera layout, a big change from the circular frame used in previous versions. That camera will also be the first since OnePlus ended its partnership with Hasselblad.

Additionally, the phone is expected to have a 165Hz refresh rate display with ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels. We don't know much more than that yet, but if these timelines are true, we'll learn more about the OnePlus 15 in just three short weeks.

Price?

According to 91Mobiles, the OnePlus 15 could cost between ₹65,000 and ₹70,000, which translates to around $732 to $788.

In the U.S., the OnePlus 13 is available starting at $899. Assuming tariffs and taxes don’t raise prices too much, we can expect a similar price for the OnePlus 15.

For Bangladeshi users, this would roughly mean a price of around BDT 85,000 to BDT 95,000, depending on taxes and import costs. If the leak is accurate, the OnePlus 15 will likely offer flagship-level power and design at a slightly lower price than other premium phones, which could make it a great option for tech enthusiasts in Bangladesh looking for performance and value in one package.
